P101/W101 - Love Is In The Air!
Can you smell it? The aroma of roses and sweet boxes of chocolate, all mixed in with the stench of potions and gunpowder. You'd have to have your nostrils plugged up to evade this stink. It's clear to see what's going on: Valentines Fever has hit the spiral!
It's February, the month of friendship and forever aloneness. People all around are giving gifts to their loved ones and turns out, we're loved too! Kingsisle has dropped some massive sales for each game in celebration of this frabjous month that most of us here at Seasoned Skyrunners have no one to celebrate it with! (Except ourselves, of course...)

Pirate101: Hoodoo Bundle - The Unboxing!
Have you checked Pirate101.com lately? If so, you probably know that a brand new bundle has risen from the dead! Now, I'm not really one for a cheesy joke (that is a complete lie), but this bundle has most certainly been stirring some graves in the spiral. As you may have guessed from the title of this blog post, this bundle has been named the Hoodoo Bundle and we are about to unbox this sucker.

The first item on the list is the Ghostly Galleon, that comes set with all the neat bells and whistles.Most items that involve levels in the bundle are redeemable by tiers so that you can use the ship at your level of choice. One unique feature that this ship offers is that you can dye the eerie fog that falls off your ship! HOW NEAT IS THAT? I know this is the first item we've covered, but I already called this ship as my favorite item on this bundle.

Next up is the ghastly set of gear called "The Conqueroo's Outfit". Much like the name insists, the Conqueroo's Outfit is meant for Witchdoctors, with the stats being based around will and resistance. The gear also include powers and talents that will help your WD out a ton!
Now there's one thing in the bundle that everybody looks forward to. Any guesses? Heh? Heh?
You're right! The companion! Like most bundle companions, this is a sort of companion we've never seen before. He goes by the name of Hoodoo Cornelius, and he is a Melee Witchdoctor. He even comes with his on power, Go Bananas, which is really just a renamed version of Reckless Frenzy, but that's still epic! You can train him up and promote him as well.
One prominent feature of this bundle is the Witchdoctor's Lab housing extension. This furniture item creates a cellar to a giant laboratory, full of all types of hoodoo knickknacks. Words cannot fully describe the epicness in this lab, so you're just going to have to see for yourself!
Now last, but certainly not least, is the Baron Samedi battle standard that helps all Hoodoo type companions. By placing this standard in battle, all near hoodoo companions will enjoy a bit of health every round! Anyone from Old Scratch to Hoodoo Cornelius himself will benefit from this standard.
That just about covers everything that comes with the Hoodoo Bundle! The bundle comes chock-full of amazing items that will reach for your ghastly side. Be sure to pick one up today from your local Walmart!

Wizard101 Updates - Fairy Friend and World Level Cap Changes
By the time you wake up tomorrow, changes will arrive to the game. If you've been putting off doing sides to get to Celestia because they are dull and boring, and you finally stopped being lazy..then do I have news for you! (The follow information is taken from Wizard101.com)
Wizard101 the game will be offline from 3:00am to 5:00am Central US time to apply the following updates to the Live Game.
The following minor game updates will be added to Wizard101 on February 12th 2014
- The Dark Fairy minion who accompanies Rattlebones will have her health reduced to match other Dark Fairies in Unicorn Way (cause you know.. Unicorn Way was too strong)
- The pet spell "May Cast Fairy" will now cast with the same frequency as the pet spell "Spritely" (cause you know.. Fairy was too strong)
- A few individuals (approximately 150 people) with erroneous PvP score rankings (negative numbers, impossible loss rates, for example) have had their rankings adjusted. If this impacts you, and you want to know more about why your score was adjusted, send an email to our team athelp@kingsisle.com
- Grinding down the grind - Celestia, Zafaria, Avalon, Azteca & Khrysalis have all had their minimum level entry requirement reduced. See the chart below

A Straying Spiral
Introducing our newest segment which we like to call "A Straying Spiral." From time to time we will sit our characters in various locations of the game and record the idiotic and wacky things we read.

Seasoned Standpoints
Today we are introducing our first ongoing series of posts, which shall be known as "Seasoned Standpoints".
We will be choosing submitted questions for both Pirate101 and Wizard101 regarding our opinions and thoughts about various features, changes, or news within the games.

Pirate101: Teasers...Teasers Everywhere
Ahoy, my fellow Pirates!
Kingsisle has been releasing to the public these past couple of months regarding a new update that is on it's way soon!
From the images we've been receiving, many can already speculate that this update involves new quests. What type of quest? Well, people aren't too sure yet. Several optimistic people are hoping that these images are teasers to Book 15, but some are starting to say that these new quests do not involve a new book. Make no mistake, there is bound to be new content, but there is too little evidence pointing to a brand new world...for now.
In their November Newsletter, Kingsisle mentioned that they would be releasing "mysterious screenshots" and "tantalizing sneak peeks" over the next couple of weeks to come. Since then, 2 more images have been released to the public, both of which are set in Skull Island.
This first image depicts a shark of a species we've never encountered before inside of the Witchdoctor sanctum speaking to us, saying that he'd "Seek passage with you". This was the third image released by the P101 crew and this got people really wondering if this new update was going to be a new world.
Upon research in the community, people have found out that the name "Carcarius" is a reference to the shark genus "Carcharias", or the Sand Shark. With this new discovery, theorycrafters of the community are speculating that our pirates might be going to Krokotopia in the near future to uncover more mysteries of Marco Pollo's map. Many speculations before these teaser images have been made that our Pirates would eventually head to Krokotopia, back by several concept art images discovered by community members.
Exciting, I know, but we aren't done yet.
This image was the second to be released to the public by Kingsisle and it depicts an Aquilian dock of some sort with an Eagle NPC waiting beside an Aquilan boat. In the far distance, you can see a giant eagle holding a colosseum on it's back.
Speculations from EVERYWHERE are saying that this new dock is related to Ship PVP, a highly requested feature to be added to the game ever since the game was released back in 2012. History shows that the ancient romans would fill up their colosseum with water and have naval battles with ships. A fun thing to do indeed.
Teasers are always exciting, and these teasers in particular are surely tickling the minds of theorycrafters alike. I guess only time will tell what's really to come to the realms of Pirate101.
